RPP Outdoors releases the rules and regulations for the 7th annual PESCA tournament to benefit Bebo’s Angels Non Profit Organization.
7th Annual Pesca Tournament
Boat registration Fee: $350 Location: Blues Chill and Grill

- All participants must have a valid/current fishing license from Texas Parks and Wildlife to fish this
tournament. - All persons in boat must be entered in the tournament by 9:00 PM April 10, 2026. A Limit of 4
persons per boat. Spectators are not allowed on boats during tournament hours. - 7th Annual Pesca Tournament shirts will be provided for boat participants that register by March
29, 2026. Late Registration March 30, 2026 – April 10, 2026 ($400) - Online registration will be available on Rancho Pisto Pesca Facebook page. For any questions, please
feel free to contact us through our Facebook page or call/text phone numbers above. Cash app
payments, please follow up with text or phone call. - The captains’ meeting is to be held at Blues Chill and Grill April 10, 2026 at 6pm. Attending is
not required but we encourage you to attend in case you have any questions. - Tournament hours will start April 11, 2026, at 6:30 AM. Check-in will not be required. Boats will be
allowed to launch from Port Mansfield down to South Padre Island (Arroyo City and Port Isabel
included). We ask that you please respect and observe the honor system. Weigh in will be between
12-2:30 pm. 1 specie per boat, we encourage to participate in catch and release of any other fish
that will not be weighed in. Please advise tournament staff if you are releasing your fish after
weigh In. The awards will follow at 4 PM at Blues Chill and Grill. - Red fish weighed in for the Heaviest Red Fish Division must measure between 20” – 28” (inches).
- Trout weighed in for the heaviest Trout Division must measure between 15” – 20” (inches).
- Flounder weighed in for the Grand Champion must measure between 15” – no limit” (inches).
- Grand Champion will be determined by the heaviest combined weight (Redfish, Trout and Flounder)
- If fish does not measure within the parameters mentioned above during weigh in. Team is subject to
disqualification for its category and will not be allowed to present a different fish. - Fish used for the Heaviest Red division and Heaviest Trout division, Will be allowed to be used for
the Captura side pot. - If fish does not measure within the parameters mentioned above during weigh in. Team is subject to
disqualification for its category and will not be allowed to present a different fish. - Heaviest Red fish for the Captura side pot, wins all monies for that division.
- Heaviest Trout for the Captura side pot, wins all monies for that division.
- Heaviest Flounder for the Captura side pot, wins all monies for that division.
- In the event of a weigh tie, the fish turned in first will prevail.
- All fish must be brought in by boat on to the dock and accompanied by the entire team. Upon
surrendering fish, your Boat Number and team name must be provided. You must be in line and
within sight of the weigh master or Director by 2:30 PM. - Only registered participants will be receiving a meal.
- All fish will be subject to inspection by Weigh Master. Fish cannot be altered in any way. All
decisions by weigh master are final. - All fish must be caught by hook and line. Using handheld rods and reels. 2 rods per person, but
only 1 rod used in the water at a time. Each Angler must remain within sight of boat. - Fishing is restricted to inshore waters of the bay. No gulf fishing or Jetties.
- Guides may be used at an individual’s expense and counts as a participant on the team.
- Registration fees are non-refundable.
- Any winning team may be subject to a polygraph test at the sole discretion of the Tournament
Committee or Tournament Director. One member of the winning team will be randomly selected for
testing. Failure to pass the polygraph test, or refusal to submit to testing, may result in disqualification
of the boat and forfeiture of all winnings. Participants are advised that alcohol consumption may impair
an individual’s ability to successfully pass a polygraph examination. If you choose to consume alcohol,
please do so responsibly. - Participants are expected to follow the highest standard of sportsmanship, courtesy, and ethics.
- If there should be any dispute of any kind with the decisions of weigh master or Director. Protest
will be accompanied by a cash fee of $300 which will be returned only if protest is upheld. - Participants must obey all Federal, State, and Local laws at all times. Violation of any Federal, State,
and/or Local laws will result in the disqualification of you and your team from the tournament. - Participants of the age of 17 and under will have to be accompanied by an adult.
- Participants in the 7th Annual Pesca Fishing Tournament will register and participate at their own
risk. Rancho Pisto Pesca, its members, weigh master, sponsors, committee members and all persons
directly or indirectly connected with the operation of the tournament are exempt from liability for
loss, damage, negligence, harm and injury suffered by any participant, entrant, sport fisherman,
his/her companions, which may occur during the tournament or in going to or coming from the
