Texas is known for several things and BBQ is one of them. With that said when you open a BBQ restaurant in Texas it better stand its ground. Well, we can say that Panther City BBQ did just that. On our trip to Fort Worth, TX we visited the restaurant which was open to serve in their outside area and this is what we experienced.
Ambience
The feel and the location of the place was pretty good. As you walk in to the outside patio style area you will see several spread out table for you to sit in safely distanced to comply with the current CDC guidelines. The smell of the BBQ is great and the signage to order is nice and legible for the customer to view.
Employee Experience
No waiters or waitresses were present so you must order your food at the window and wait for your number to be called out. Anything you desire after that like refills on your drinks or more napkins you are to go to the window. This is probably the only thing we would liked to have seen differently. The person at the window taking the orders was just doing his job taking orders. We feel they could have been a bit more talkative and welcome the customers especially those first timers who just drove 9 hours from home. Other than that it is pretty much like it is.
The Food!
Now let’s get down to it!
Brisket: We made a video of our visit here and tell you that the brisket was amazing and we highly recommend it. Coming from a dad that literally turns on the pit on a daily basis we feel our opinion has a little bit of weight lol.
Pork Belly Burnt Ends: These were also amazing. They were cooked perfectly! They do smother BBQ sauce on them so we know the next time we hit them up we will be asking for the sauce on the side.
Sausage: We got the sausage with cheese and it was good as well!
South Side Slammer: This is the sandwich to get! This comes with brisket, pulled pork, jalapeno cheese sausage, smoked bologna, and your choice of add ons!
Charro Beans: These beans were delicious! Take it from me, a straight up beaner!
Over all we really enjoyed our visit to Panther City BBQ. We highly recommend you visit them on your next visit. Of course we were wearing our dri fit shirts from RPP Outdoor Apparel. You can check out our merch and get ready to hit the city feeling good and stylish!
